I am an experienced Java Enterprise developer with a hunger to keep learning.
First and foremost, I am a specialist in the Java Enterprise platform, due to Java being my main platform for most of my development years. That said, I have experience in many other languages and platforms, including but not limited to dynamic languages like Ruby and Perl but also systems programming in C/C++ and even a bit of web development in the .Net platform using C#.

Besides software development, which is my daily bread and butter, I have an interest in photography. Don’t get me wrong, as I am just a mere amateur photographer. I just think it is fun to play with, hence it has become a hobby of mine.

About: Blogging
As many others in this world, I started blogging. First, my secret goal was to become rich. When that did not happen very quickly, I tried to become famous. When that did not happen very quickly either, my goal changed again. Now, I am blogging to get a discussion going about stuff I care about. I blog to get the input of you, my readers. I guess that is what one should be blogging for, after all.

My first tech blog was at blogger, on the techpolesen.blogspot.com address. Slowly, I came to dislike the fact, that blogger was the owner of my domain. So, late in the year 2007, I bought this domain.
